Adding an item

+ button → Take Photo or Pick from Library → background removes automatically → tag it. The first item takes maybe 30 seconds while you figure out the tagging; once you're in rhythm, 5–10 seconds each.

Background removal looks weird

Vision occasionally clips edges on dark or transparent fabric. Tap the photo on the item detail screen → Re-process to retry — sometimes a different lighting frame works better. The result is non-destructive; the original photo is kept and you can re-process again.

Smart Categorization

Tap the magic wand on an item → the active AI provider returns a suggested category, color, season, and material. Tap to apply or override. Categorizations are not persisted with the AI — only your final choice is saved on the item.

Web Import

Paste a URL into + → From URL. Works on most product pages that follow standard schema.org metadata or Open Graph tags. If a site refuses to parse, save the product image manually and add the item normally.

AI provider setup

Settings → AI Provider. Apple Intelligence is the default and works without setup on iOS 26+. For cloud providers you'll need your own API key. The on-device LLM unlock lives under "AI Add-Ons".

Outfit suggestions feel repetitive

The AI doesn't know what you've worn recently unless you log it. Use the "Worn Today" button on items to build the wear log up over a couple of weeks, and suggestions get noticeably sharper.

Items not syncing to my other device

Closet sync runs over CloudKit. Make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account on both devices and that iCloud Drive is on. First sync after a fresh install can take a couple of minutes — leave the app open on both devices and it'll catch up.
