LiftCoach

Privacy

Last updated: 26 April 2026

The short version

LiftCoach is built to keep your training data on your device. Nothing is sent to a LiftCoach server because there is no LiftCoach server. iCloud sync is direct between your devices and Apple's CloudKit. AI features use whichever provider you choose; on-device options never make a network request.

What data is collected

None on our side. LiftCoach has no analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs, and no advertising. Workouts, exercises, body measurements, and preferences are stored locally and (if you enable iCloud sync) in your private iCloud account. Apple controls that storage; we never see it.

HealthKit data

If you grant Apple Health permission during onboarding, LiftCoach reads your workout history, body weight, heart rate, and active energy to build accurate context for the AI coach and recovery features. It also writes finished strength workouts back to Apple Health so they show up in the Activity and Workouts apps.

HealthKit data never leaves the device unless you explicitly send a workout summary or AI request that includes it. We never copy, log, or transmit HealthKit data outside the system Apple Health permission boundary.

AI providers

LiftCoach lets you pick where AI requests go:

API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted at rest by Apple, and never transmitted to LiftCoach or anyone but the provider you configured.

In-app purchases

The on-device AI unlock is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple's StoreKit. LiftCoach receives only the receipt necessary to unlock the feature locally; Apple handles billing and identity. We never see your payment details.

Third-party services

LiftCoach uses only Apple-provided services: the App Store, iCloud, HealthKit, StoreKit, and Apple Intelligence. There are no third-party tracking SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services in the app.

Data retention

Your data persists on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete it from Settings → General → iPhone Storage → LiftCoach, or by deleting individual workouts inside the app. Uninstalling LiftCoach removes the local store but iCloud data survives until you delete it from iCloud Drive or sign out of iCloud.

Children's privacy

LiftCoach is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
