Puffaloo
iPhone · iPad
A cute match-3 puzzle game, currently in TestFlight.
Swap neighbouring pals to line up three or more of a kind. Six hand-drawn pals — a fox, a chick, a frog, a penguin, a bunny and a piglet — fill the board, and bigger matches turn them into special pals that clear rows, blast areas, sweep the board and float off to pop whatever you need most. Play 48 handcrafted levels across four chapters, at your own pace, with no ads and nothing to sign up for. The first chapter is free to try; one purchase unlocks all the rest.
Requires iOS 17 or later.
What's inside
Swap and match
Swap two neighbouring pals to line up three or more of the same kind, or bring four of a kind together in a square. Matched pals pop, new ones drop in, and a lucky fall can set off a chain.
Special pals
Line up four for a Striped Pal that clears a row or column. Match in an L or T shape for a Bomb Pal that blasts the area around it. Line up five for a Rainbow Pal that clears every pal of one kind. Swap two specials together for a bigger combo.
Balloon Pal
Bring four of the same pal together in a 2×2 square to make a Balloon Pal. Match it and it floats off to pop something useful — an ice tile, a crate or a pal you still need. Swap it into another special pal to carry that pal's blast to the balloon's target.
48 handcrafted levels
Four chapters — Sunny Meadow, Candy Shore, Starlight Snow and Autumn Forest — along one map that climbs from level to level. Levels ask you to collect pals, crack ice, break open wooden crates, or reach a target score.
Ice and crates
Ice sits under pals and can be one or two layers thick: clear the pal on top to crack it. Wooden acorn crates fill a cell of their own: match right next to one, or hit it with a special pal's blast, to knock off a layer. Crates with iron bands take two hits.
Up to three stars
Each level has up to three stars: one for clearing it, two for a good score and three for a great one. Replay any level you've unlocked to chase more stars.
Easy to pick up
The first levels walk you through each move. If you pause to think, a hint shows a match you can make. Out of moves? Once per attempt, you can take five more for free.
Sound and feel
Music and sound effects synthesized in the app, and haptics you can feel with each match, chain and special pal. Turn music or sound off from the pause menu.
Made for iPhone and iPad
Designed for both. On iPad, play in landscape or portrait, and in a resizable window next to your other apps.
Game Center and iCloud
Game Center leaderboards and achievements. Your unlocked levels, stars and best scores sync through your own iCloud account, so you can pick up on another iPhone or iPad where you left off.
Free to try, one purchase
Chapter 1, Sunny Meadow, is free to play: twelve levels, starting with the ones that teach you every move. A single purchase, Full Game, unlocks every other chapter — including new chapters added in free updates. You buy it once and keep it: it comes back on any iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple Account, and it can be shared with your family through Family Sharing. If you had already reached a later chapter before the purchase existed, you keep every level you had unlocked.
Nothing else is for sale. There are no lives or energy to run out of, no boosters, and nothing that helps you win a level; the five extra moves when you run out stay free.
No ads, no tracking
Puffaloo has no ads, no account, no analytics, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. It works offline. Your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud account, and the Full Game purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. The full story is on the privacy page.
