Puffaloo doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. I don't collect any personal data from the game, and nothing you do in it is sent to me. Its one in-app purchase is handled by Apple. This policy covers Puffaloo for iPhone and iPad.
What Puffaloo stores
To remember where you are, Puffaloo saves your game progress (the levels you've unlocked, your stars and best score on each level, the balloon targets you've popped and the achievements you've earned), whether you've unlocked the Full Game, and your music and sound settings on your device. That's all it keeps. Puffaloo's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data; the only system data it reads is its own saved preferences, to remember your progress and settings.
In-app purchase
Puffaloo has one in-app purchase, Full Game, which unlocks every chapter after the first. It is sold and processed entirely by Apple's App Store, using Apple's StoreKit, under Apple's privacy policy. Puffaloo never sees your payment details, your billing address or your Apple Account; it only asks the App Store whether this account owns the Full Game. The one thing it stores is the answer, a yes or no, on your device. On another device the App Store restores the purchase for the same Apple Account (or a Family Sharing member), so nothing about it needs to be sent anywhere by Puffaloo. I receive no personal data from purchases: Apple shows me anonymous sales totals only, never who bought the game.
iCloud
Your game progress is also saved in your own iCloud account, using iCloud key-value storage, so it syncs across your iPhone and iPad when they're signed in to the same Apple Account. Music and sound settings stay on each device: the iCloud copy only carries neutral placeholder values for them so older versions of Puffaloo can still read it. This copy belongs to your iCloud account: I can't see or access it. To remove it, delete Puffaloo from your devices and delete its data from iCloud in the Settings app (your name › iCloud).
Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you sign in, Apple's Game Center handles your sign-in, the leaderboards (your total stars and the number of levels you've cleared) and your achievements, under Apple's privacy policy. I only see those scores and achievements the way Game Center shows them to players. Your Game Center settings, including who can see your profile, are in Settings › Game Center.
Advertising, analytics and diagnostics
No advertising, no analytics, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. Puffaloo works offline and makes no network requests of its own; iCloud, Game Center and the Full Game purchase are handled by Apple. If you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports with me under its terms.
Children
Puffaloo is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. The Full Game purchase goes through the App Store, so a family's Ask to Buy and Screen Time settings apply to it like any other purchase.
Changes to this policy
If Puffaloo changes how it handles your data, I'll update this page and the date above.
