LiftCoach 1.0.0 is now available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, on iOS or iPadOS 18 and later.
LiftCoach is a strength-training companion. You plan routines, log each set as you train, and see how the work adds up over weeks. The app is available in English and Chinese.
Train from your wrist
Train from Apple Watch, then review your progress on a larger screen. During a workout, Focus mode keeps heart rate, active calories, and your next set in view. When rest ends, you get a haptic and a banner. The timer keeps counting afterwards, so you can see how much extra recovery you took. Workout history follows the order you actually trained, not the order the routine was written in.
Plan, log, and progress
- Programs: follow a ready-made program or create one with AI, then build on your previous sessions.
- Fractional weights: 12.5 lb micro-loads and 0.25 kg jumps both work.
- Animated demos: follow exercise demos for the lifts you train, and explore anatomical diagrams of the muscles they work.
- Widgets: see the muscles you trained right on the Home Screen.
- Apple Health: sync goes both ways. Workouts count toward your Activity rings and appear in the Workouts app, and body weight reads back automatically for bodyweight lifts.
Coaching that stays yours
On supported devices, Apple Intelligence runs coaching requests on-device, without an API key. The coach can use your LiftCoach history and, with your permission, workouts from Apple Health as context.
Optional lifetime LiftCoach Pro connects OpenAI, Claude, and Grok using your own API key. Sending your training history to a cloud provider is a separate setting that stays off until you turn it on.
Availability update — October 9, 2026: LiftCoach is free to download, and the optional lifetime LiftCoach Pro purchase is available in all 175 App Store territories, including mainland China. Cloud AI providers remain unavailable in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Russia, Belarus and Venezuela. Non-AI Pro benefits remain available there; Apple Intelligence depends on your device, language, region and system readiness.
Private by default
Workout data lives on your device. Optional iCloud sync uses your own private iCloud account, so your history follows you across your Apple devices. There is no advertising or tracking. The privacy policy has the details.
